Call for Submissions:

The SAIS Europe Journal of Global Affairs (formerly the Bologna Center Journal of International Affairs) is now accepting submissions for its 18th edition.

This year, in addition to the yearly printed publication, we will be publishing on a rolling basis online. The April 2015 print edition of the Journal will be comprised of the best articles published online, as well as original featured content. All submissions selected for publication will be fully peer-reviewed.

The Journal is a graduate student publication of the Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies. Throughout its history, the Journal has approached global affairs as a complex interaction of disciplines, such as international finance and sustainability, human rights and security, or environmental policy and poverty. Submissions should explore such interactions by providing clear analysis of contemporary movements and policy developments using fresh perspectives.

Throughout the year, scholars and practitioners of economics, international development, history and other related subjects are invited to submit:
  • Academic articles of up to 4000 words
  • Topical articles of up to 1000 words
  • Book reviews, commentaries, and essays of up to 2000 words
All submissions should be accompanied by an abstract of approximately 150 words, and a cover letter including the author's name, contact information, and a short biography written in the third person. If you own images or graphics that are relevant to the submission, please attach high resolution versions for the Journal to use in publication. All submissions will be considered as first-run pieces for The SAIS Europe Journal unless otherwise informed.
